AgGaGeS4 (Silver Germanium Gallium Sulfide) is a negative biaxial crystal with an orthogonal crystal system and a larger nonlinear coefficient than AgGaS. Compared with conventional materials, AgGaGeS4 has the following characteristics:

  • A wide transmission band (0.5~11.5 μm),
  • A small absorption coefficient (α<0.005 cm-1)
  • A high threshold of laser damage resistance (30 ns, 9.55 μm, 230 MW/cm2), which is about 1.6 times that of AgGaS2(149 MW/cm2), ZnGeP2 (142 MW/cm2), 1.6 times
  • Suitable for titanium gem 800 nm, Nd: YAG 1 μm laser pumping birefringence (0.057)
  • Can be applied to CO2 laser frequency doubling
  • Can withstand high-power laser pumping
  • Output high-power mid and far-infrared laser
